Terra’s Do Kwon Arrest in Montenegro, Indicted in the US For Fraud

Terraform Labs founder, Do Kwon will finally face justice for the collapse of LUNA and UST that devastated a lot of crypto investors worldwide. The elusive Kwon was arrested in Montenegro early Thursday alongside another Korean Citizen.

Do Kwon and his counterpart were attempting to board a flight to Dubai using falsified Costa-Rican documents. But Interpol was able to identify them as being fake.

News of his arrest was through the country’s Interior Minister Flip Adzic, who Tweeted:

Montenegrin police have detained a person suspected of being one of the most wanted fugitives, South Korean citizen Do Kwon, co-founder and CEO of Singapore-based Terraform Labs.

The former ‘cryptocurrency king’, who is behind losses of more than 40 billion dollars, was detained at the Podgorica airport with falsified documents, and South Korea, the USA and Singapore are demanding the same.

Do Kwon Positively ID-ed by South Korean Authorities

Since the arrest, South Korean authorities have positively identified the suspect as Do Kwon through his age, nationality, name and photo of the passport he was using. They have also requested his fingerprints for further confirmation.

Do Kwon Indicted in the United States for Fraud

In addition to his arrest, Do Kwon is now facing federal indictment in the United States.

According to court documents, the Terra founder is now facing fraud charges, including conspiracy to defraud, commodities fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud and engage in market manipulation.
